I started using a Orion ST80 refractor as a guidescope. I used a modified 1004x video camera for the guide camera with some software I wrote. The field rotation is pretty obvious as my alignment wasn't the best. Also the code I used to stack the images only supporting translation alignment. The guidescope mount was made from PVC pipe at a home improvement store and there was significant flexure.
