Comparison of 1800s of L data from light polluted home site (mag 4.25) (TOP) to 300s of L data from Doughton Park (mag 6-6.25) (BOTTOM). These exposure times were selected to give similar signal-to-noise for the faint disk of the galaxy M94. This means for each hour of data I would take at Doughton Park, I would need to take at least 6 hours at home!
